HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for a warm home. I am thankful for food in my belly. I am thankful for really fashionable people hanging out today around Union Square, NoHo, and the Lower East Side.
A cute couple indeed!
I’m digging those belted jackets for sure.
Nice jackets ladies! Bright yellow sneaks are always fun in my book.
Outer wear over outer wear…I love it! The vest is over the jacket.
The knits on these 2 guys makes me glad I started taking up knitting. Although my stuff has alot of holes in it, I’ll learn.
I like the dad sweater, I think that’s coming in.
And the pattern on the orange scarf is sweet!
I love her layering and that beanie is adorable!
I love these short sleeved coats. The sweater peaking out is cute.
I love that his Vans are totally tattered but the rest of him looks top.
My camera shy friend in a banaccident! I didn’t realize how great that coat was. Love the fastening.
Not so thankful here. Poor bugger, hope it was a screw top version.
I walked past this where the shadow on the wires almost cast a human profile. I tweaked it a bit, to give it a nose, but the rest of it still looked crappy. Oh well.
I am thankful for alot and all I want for Christmas is that reindeer jumper Colin Firth wore in “Bridget Jones’s Diary”.

Streetwear, BKLYN, BoCoCa, and Brooklyn Indie Market, 16 Nov 2008
November 16, 2008 · 2 Comments
What the hell is a BoCoCa?!!! Duh…it’s the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens. Off to satiate our streetwear craving, we headed over to the F line and exited Bergen Street. It was a bit chilly outside, so it was pretty sparse in fashion. What can you expect when everyone is wearing a coat, and most of the time it’s black? ZZZZZZZ…
But hey, sometimes you gotta shovel through the the muck to find some gems. Below are some gems we came upon. Hooray!!!
Just because the dark days of winter are approaching, doesn’t mean that fashion has to fall into an abyss of BLAH. If you can’t make that jump into funkville, punch up your ensemb with a splash of colour around your neck. Noooo…not with a noose silly!!! Scarves b*tches! A great scarf can make an outfit. And like I always say, the quirkier…the better! (See the lady with with magenta/pink hat and turquoise shoes below…I love her scarf!)

The scarf and clashing shoes are a great mix. That jacket is also awesomeness!
Love the short sleeve grey coat, and the purple plaid is great.
Camera shy, and camera friendly fashion.
The pink ear buds add color to a great coat.
The return of the life vest circa “Back to the Future” is okay in my book. I heart you Marty McFly! Did I mention, this couple is adorable!
Clashing colours on both ends make for a fun and quirky look.
Here’s that scarf! Sweeeet!!!
The stripey scarf and burgundy knitted hat are nice accents.
He just looks cool. His Photography is pretty ace too:
Fashionable and talented Artist Kimm Alfonso (www.kimmchi.com) designs silk screened apparel. She’s one of the vendors at the Brooklyn Indie Market.
We came upon this tent today and had a looksy. Featured in this tent are some really fun and unique fashion, jewelry, soaps, and other handmade wares/wears.
Located on the corner of Smith and Union Street in Carroll Gardens, you can check out the site and then visit the actual event at www.brooklynindiemarket.com.
